Lindsay, Ph.D., former chief scientific officer and vice president of research and development at diaDexus, Inc., to its board of directors. Dr. Lindsay has more than 20 years experience in neuroscience, cancer, and genomics in the biopharmaceutical industry, including key leadership roles at companies such as Millenium Pharmaceuticals Inc., (NASDAQ: MLNM) and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., (NASDAQ: REGN). He joins HistoRx at a strategic time, as the Company continues to advance its proprietary quantitative protein diagnostic technology, AQUA™.

“Ron’s scientific expertise in molecular diagnostics and his leadership experience are an asset to HistoRx, as we continue to expand AQUA, our quantitative proteomics and diagnostic platform,” said Dr. Robert A. Curtis, president and chief executive officer of HistoRx. “From his knowledge of the research and development process to his track record in successfully growing a start-up to its full potential, Ron brings the kind of insight and knowledge we need to move through the next phase of our development. We are actively developing additional disease specific reagents to work in conjunction with AQUA, and we are also looking forward to securing additional top-tier collaborations and partnerships in 2007.”

Dr. Lindsay currently heads a biopharmaceutical-consulting firm, Milestone Consulting and is a non-executive director at Sequenom Inc. (NASDAQ: SQNM) and ArQule Inc. (NASDAQ: ARQL). While at diaDexus, Dr. Lindsay led the growth of an R&D effort during a period in which saw diaDexus’ first diagnostic product gain FDA approval. In addition, he managed the initiation of a cancer franchise at diaDexus, creating a large pipeline of potential cancer biomarkers and targets for antibody-based therapies.

“HistoRx is in a very strong phase of growth, with a successfully validated platform in AQUA,” said Dr. Lindsay. “Understanding the spatial profile of protein biomarkers in tissue is an important step in comprehensively tracking disease. The ability of the AQUA system to accurately measure protein expression and localization in diseased tissue sets HistoRx apart. I look forward to assisting HistoRx build its family of tissue and quantitative proteomics products.”

Previous to his leadership roles at diaDexus, Dr. Lindsay served as senior vice president at Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc. At Millennium Biotherapeutics Inc. he led a gene discovery and preclinical development team, transitioning novel genomic targets through functional validation to a pipeline of product candidates.

Dr. Lindsay was a scientific co-founder of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. leading research and development in defining therapeutics for neurodegenerative disease, trauma, stroke, ischemia, pain and depression. As vice president, he oversaw the Company’s preclinical efforts in cell biology, animal studies and pharmacology in support of their investigative new drug program.

HistoRx and Lilly Extend, Expand AQUA® Analysis Partnership

—Agreement provides Lilly researchers broad access to HistoRx AQUA® technology for tissue biomarker analysis —

NEW HAVEN, Conn., March 26, 2008— HistoRx, Inc. announced today that it has signed a three-year agreement with Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE:LLY) to make the HistoRx AQUA® technology for tissue biomarker analysis widely available to Lilly researchers and clinicians involved in drug discovery, preclinical research, and clinical development. The agreement extends and significantly expands the scope of the collaboration established by HistoRx and Lilly in 2005 to apply the HistoRx AQUA® technology to help advance select Lilly pharmaceutical development programs. Under the new agreement, HistoRx will provide Lilly researchers broad access to the AQUA® technology for tissue biomarker analysis, and HistoRx will develop customized AQUA® analysis-based immunohistochemical assays for use in Lilly drug discovery and development projects. HistoRx has the option to commercialize the assays and reagents developed during the course of the partnership for clinical use as predictive diagnostics.

HistoRx provides pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies access to AQUA® technology through partnership agreements by which HistoRx works with the company in applying its hallmark quantitative, multiparametric, tissue-based biomarker measurement and analysis to drug development programs, virtually eliminating the subjective interpretation inherent in conventional immunohistochemical methods. In the course of the partnership, HistoRx develops AQUA® analysis-based diagnostic assays that are linked to its partners’ drugs in development. HistoRx may then commercialize these assays as prognostic tests or as companion diagnostics.

HistoRx currently has 10 such partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies such as Lilly involving therapeutics in multiple stages of development. Researchers at these companies are using AQUA® analysis-based assays to identify correlations of biomarker expression with clinical outcomes, including drug dosing effects, therapeutic mechanism of action, drug safety, and therapeutic efficacy.

“We consider this expanded agreement with Lilly, one of the world’s leading innovation-driven pharmaceutical companies, to be a tremendous validation of the HistoRx AQUA® technology,” said Rana K. Gupta, CEO of HistoRx. “By revealing stronger, more reliable statistical correlations linking protein biomarker expression with prediction of patient response to therapy and disease outcome, we expect this ongoing partnership to continue providing a substantial boost to Lilly’s drug research and development programs.”
